Meet Teacher: Street Artist, Father, and Hero in PAY 2 PLAY

TEACHERAs part of the PAY 2 PLAY Kickstarter Telethon, we'd like you to get to know TEACHER, one of the most accomplished street artists in Los Angeles, and one of the heroes in our film. On May Day 2012, Teacher realized the PAY 2 PLAY Monopoly Board which took over an intersection of Downtown L.A. in the climax of our film. In this short, you hear from Teacher himself how he went from portraits to walls, and how becoming a father compelled him to make the world a better place, despite the legal risks.

Teacher doesn't just spray paint, he takes over areas of public space and makes it his own platform to spread a message of "TEACH PEACE," among other positive missives.

An in-depth interview with Teacher as well as photos of his works appear in the new book Where Else But The Streets, a journal of street artists followed over the course of making the film, including Alec Monopoly, Free Humanity, LydiaEmily, OBEY GIANT, Mr. Brainwash, Banksy, and more.  The book is only available through our Kickstarter campaign.
